Deborah Marcovecchio, Director of Client Services, is a 15-year veteran of the insurance services industry. She started her career as a client. By seeing the benefits of a full financial plan first-hand, she was recruited to work directly with her personal financial planner, transitioning into a client servicing role.
Deborah holds a BA from Hofstra University with a concentration in Finance. She lives in Kings Park with her husband, John, and son, Jack. Her hobbies include cooking, reading and visiting the House of Mouse with her family, as often as she can.
In addition to Managing the SWAN Office, as Director of Client Services, Deborah works with both retail and professional clients, guiding them through case design and the application process. In case design, Deborah works with brokers offering products with the best design that works within expected parameters. Once expected parameters have been met, alternatives are offered that might also meet the needs of the broker.
Once applications are received, Deborah coordinates them with new business and underwriting. She also obtains medical records and supporting documentation to receive offers and communicate status to the submitting broker.
For direct clients of SWAN, Deborah is responsible for running illustrations to support recommendations to clients. Once Deborah obtains approval to move forward with the insurance process from the client, she coordinates with insureds to complete the application, schedules medicals and obtains any supporting documentation to receive an offer from the insurance carrier.
Deborah works with both brokers and SWAN clients to obtain in-force illustrations, broker of record changes and servicing form.
