Guaranteed Standard Issue

Attention business owners, HR directors and CFOs. As you design your employee benefit packages for the coming year and review your existing plans, we find many times people are treating the disability income insurance as the red-headed stepchild. It is not reviewed, and it doesn’t always create the best results for employees and employers when an individual becomes disabled.

We set up group, long-term disability plans for employers. These plans typically cover 60% of salary with a cap of maybe $5-$10,000, and sometimes $15,000 or even $20,000 a month. For many people, that’s adequate. For a lot of high earners – the business owners, the executives, the professionals – that income is only a small percentage of the cash flow needed for their lifestyle.

We offer a product that sits on top of your group long-term disability insurance. If you have companies with 10 or more employees, we’re able to issue this type of insurance, individual. non-cancelable, guaranteed renewable, disability policies, sold through the business without any underwriting.

A big problem for people who are looking to buy disability income insurance is that it’s underwritten very thoroughly, so if you have a malady, whether it be a backache, a bad knee, were diagnosed with hypertension, or had some stress related issue in your life, there is a very high probability of either a rating, a rejection, or what is known as a rider.

With the Guaranteed Standard Issue product, none of those factors matter because you’re going to get a guaranteed standard issue policy.
