About Daniel F. Spagnolo:

Daniel is the son of Italian immigrants who moved from Italy to Buenos Aires, and then relocated to Queens, NY, where Dan was born and raised. Life was tough for them, but his parent’s example instilled in him a passion for working hard, succeeding, and never giving up.

Daniel’s business career began in the commodities and foreign exchange industry in 1980 after graduating from Queens College with a BS in accounting. Shortly thereafter, he earned his MBA in Finance from St. John’s University in 1986. Daniel also holds the RFC designation (Registered Financial Consultant).

Dan initially worked in commodities, but joined his wife’s family business, where his commodities work was useful. He worked 7 years in the restaurant business, but realized his heart was still in finance, so in 1999 he returned to financial services.

Dan is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys various activities as well as cooking and live music. He has 3 successful adult children and speaks fluent Italian and Spanish.

President and Founder of ERG (The Elite Referral Group) and CIBS (Commercial Industrial Brokerage Society), Daniel is also on the Executive Council of the Crohn’s and Colitis Found (CCF), a charity near and dear to this heart, as well as JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), the leading organization funding type 1 diabetes research. Yearly, he works on raising money to find a cure and help those affected by these diseases.
