What Do We Actually Do?
What we do is very diverse. We go under the heading of providing financial planning, but many times people don’t want to do a full financial plan. Many times people come to us and they want help with things like their pension, or 401(k), or managing their money in their retirement or brokerage accounts.
- Sometimes people come to us for estate planning and gift-tax planning.
- Sometimes they need a product like life insurance or long-term care insurance, or want to model out retirement income.
- Sometimes they want to look at their Social Security and get an analysis of what options they should take.
- Sometimes they’re about to retire and need to make decisions regarding their pension or their Social Security.
- Sometimes they’re looking to protect their wealth and income, and we look at disability income insurance.
- Sometimes they’re trying to plan for a lifetime income, and we look at vehicles like annuities and investment accounts, and how much money they can spend each month.
We have a very diverse portfolio of offerings, and I want everybody to understand what we do. The best way for us to help people is to gather all the information and prepare a complete and comprehensive plan.
How can we help?
Some of these issues seem very big and challenging, so we always start with the end in mind. We come to the table trying to create what we call your “present plan.” Where are you currently? Once we have that plan, we can see if there are:
- Things that are missing
- Things that are not coordinated properly
- Things that need to be changed
- Things that need to be reviewed
- Things that need to be updated
So, how we help is by taking a look at your present situation and then moving from there to plan, coordinate, implement, and review to keep you on track.

Well, my team and I have tremendous experience. I dislike using the word “expertise,” but after 36 years of practicing financial planning, estate planning, life insurance, disability, and long-term care annuities, you do develop a certain expertise.
